Update on posts today and my schedule

Hi all,

I’ve been pretty active today, trying to clear up odd jobs and things I’ve been meaning to get round to. This is basic stuff and new posts tend to be analysis or lesson resources I’d simply not got round to uploading.

However, I’m going to have much more time on my hands in the next few weeks. I will get some stuff up for Half of a Yellow Sun as this is what I am working on with my kids currently, but I severely doubt I will be able to complete the section before deadline day.

Also, I am planning on taking a day to try to finally bosh off the final two iGCSE poems. I am dreading trying to explain Pike as I haven’t looked at it in ages and Summer Farm is complete nonsense, but I will do it just so the section is complete.

I’ve also added an FAQ section with a bit of useful information on it and have started working on an overhaul of the Poetry Exam Tips page that has been living a lie for over a year now! I will post when it is finished.

Finally, a big thank you for pushing total views to 220,000 now. It is a number that means nothing and everything to me.

Kind regards and good luck revising,

Simon

Although I've only been teaching Literature since 2011 and did my degree in History, I think that makes me better placed than many Lit teachers to provide notes that make sense and aren't garbled and wrapped up with inaccessible terminology and effluent nonsense. After adventures in Uganda and Uzbekistan, I am now settling down in the Netherlands. However, currently I am just about as unsettled as I have ever been, with a new job, a new baby, a new country and a hundred other things going on! Ask me a question, collaborate or abuse me.
